Remote Desktop

The Start button opens a new VNC connection to the client. For this, the UVNC client must be installed on your client-machine. The installation program can be downloaded in the download tab. So that no client can be blocked permanently by a connection by mistake, the connections are limited in time.

Recovery Shell

The recovery shell connection is independent of the SiteKiosk connection and can be used for recovery in the event of an SiteKiosk-System error. The Start button opens a new remote shell connection to the client. This makes it possible to execute shell commands on a client. The Powershell is accessed on Windows and the standard Android system shell and utilities are accessed on Android. The SiteKiosk client version must not be older than version 1.4. Location

If no address has been assigned to a client, Location not available is displayed. With the button New a new address entry can be created, which is assigned to the client as location. The Select button can be used to select an existing address book entry.

The address where the client is located is displayed next to the title. In the underlying map the client is displayed with its pictogram. The Select button can be used to reassign another existing address entry to the client. The Edit button edits the address entry for all uses. The Reset button removes the link to the address entry.

Jobs

In the drop-down menu, a job template can be selected and with Execute, the job is immediately executed for this client. The blue arrow in the corner points to the jobs tab.

Settings

The "Send message if errors occur on this client" checkbox controls the sending of notifications for all responsible users.

List of responsible users

Responsible users are users in SiteKiosk Online who are to be notified in case of client alerts. At least one user must be entered here. If there are several users, you can use the X behind the name to remove the user from the list. If the current user has sufficient rights, the link on the list entry leads directly to the user settings of the respective user.

The Add button adds the user to the list from the drop-down menu to the left.

Time settings

In the Time zone drop-down menu, the time zone in which the client is located is set. The clients time is the current local time of the client in the set time zone.

Maintenance and Owner

In these fields, if set, there are address entries showing the contacts responsible for the client and its maintenance.

Maintenance Protocol

The maintenance protocol is used to track maintenance work on a client.

The Save button adds another entry to the log with the message entered next to it and the current user.

Protocol entry

A protocol entry consists of the time of its creation, the user name of the creator in brackets and a message.

Existing entries can be deleted via the X or edited with the pencil icon.
