Critical keyboard combinations (such as CTRL-ALT-DEL)

SiteKiosk Online restricts certain keyboard combinations to ensure the protection of your clients. Here you can disable this restriction if necessary.


Restricted keyboard combinations:

Ctrl + Alt + Entf

Exit an application or restart the operating system

Ctrl + Esc

Opens the Windows Start menu

Alt + Tab

Switches to the next/previous window

Alt + Esc

Switches to the next/previous window (without dialog)

Shift + F10

Opens the context menu for currently selected objects

Windowskey

Opens the Windows Start menu

MyComputer, WebSearch, WebFavorites, Calculator, Mail, MediaSelect

Opens the associated application/function

SiteKiosk Online also blocks critical Windows system windows and dialog boxes to ensure the protection of your clients. Here you can disable the blocking if necessary.

Built-in window filters

The window filters provided by SiteKiosk can be activated and deactivated here individually or per language.

Custom window filters

Custom window filters can be defined here. Windows can be identified by the window title, the window class, the path to the executable or by its child windows.

Peripheral devices

Peripheral devices such as mice and USB sticks can be optionally blocked.

Key combination for the dialog to exit SiteKiosk

To exit SiteKiosk Online on the clients you have to use a specific keyboard shortcut. Here you can switch between the valid keyboard shortcuts.
