In this section, you can configure external devices such as sensors and actuators. These can be used to trigger behavior or states in your project.

Devices

In the upper section, you can add devices that are to be available in the context of the project.

Click on Add to open the dialog for creating a new device.

Here you will first find a selection of device types. Select the appropriate device from this list.

You will also find a documentation link here, which will take you to a technical help page.

Click on "Next" once you have selected the appropriate device type.

A unique device name must now be assigned.

You also have the option to activate "Show advanced config values". This option enables the setting of more complex device settings and debugging.

After clicking on "Next", you will be taken to the specific device settings.

These vary depending on the device type and must be set up by you to suit the project requirements.

If you need further help, please use our previously linked documentation link, which offers device-specific help.

Device Actions

This table is only available once you have created a device.

Click on "Add" to open the dialog that allows you to create a device action.

In this dialog, you must first select the device for which you want to create an action.

Then select the type of action you want to create.

These vary depending on the device and include actions such as the creation of variables with measured values or the triggering of project states such as the inactive state.

Now give this action a unique name and make the necessary configurations for this action in the other input fields.

Depending on the action you have added, you may now have variables available in the "Variables" section.

You can use these in the same way as other variables to control the display of project content, among other things.
